This weekend was the Renegade Craft Fair weekend! This year, it was held at the East River State Park, aka the Williamsburg Waterfront. (That’s why we were waiting for the ferry!) The view was awesome, so were all the booths! It’s really great to see all the handmade artists and their amazing work being available right in front of you. I couldn’t take pictures of all the work I liked, but here are some to share…

Picture above is from Sel & Vinaigre booth. They had a lot of cool posters/prints, caught my eye.

Picture below is from Miniature Rhino. Their stuff always makes me smile :)

These two photos below are from Homako. I’ve purchased her cute necklace before and so seeing all of her great work in person made me really happy. They are all so cute and very unique.

OK, that’s all I have, but I liked many many more stuff and of course enjoyed shopping! I guess they’ll have a holiday fair in Brooklyn this year (finally!) — can’t wait!

Renegade Craft Fair 2011

I stopped by Renegade Craft Fair in McCarren Park, Brooklyn yesterday. Despite the storm weather report, it was actually a nice day and there were LOTS of people with LOTS of awesome booths, I really enjoyed it :)

The Arm was actually doing a demonstration of letterpress printing in the booth!! (on the very right — it was so busy, I couldn’t take a close photo — plus, I was with Maia :)) How awesome :)

Renegade Holiday Craft Fair Posters

These posters for Renegade Holiday Craft Fair are so cute and well done! Caught my eye immediately. Love love love to each city version <3 Designed by Kate Sutton — love her work!

If you are lucky and live in Chicago, San Francisco and Los Angels, make sure to go check it out for me…

Also, sending my warmest support to all the handmade artists!

I wish they come to Brooklyn in holiday time soon… please? :)

The Renegade Craft Fair 2010

I went to the Renegade Craft fair in the late afternoon on Sunday… and it started pouring as soon as I got there. Not just rain, but strong wind and stormy craziness — I guess there was a tornado warning! So I have missed lots of shops who decided to close earlier… :( but in 30 minutes, it was hot and sunny again, though, I was a bit bummed. Bizarre weather!

Well, I still saw lots of great handmade products, I was inspired by some of the booth/display designs, and enjoyed shopping. Took some photos to share — enjoy!

Great posters and kitchen towels by Claudia Pearson:

Awesome Brooklyn poster and t-shirts: (I just can’t locate who this is by — does anyone know?)

Miniature Rhino booth — I’ve been a fan of their work, their booth was so awesome!

Cute leather alphabet rings by Lucky Me Beads:

Loved their display ideas.

Speaking of display ideas, Queens Metal used vintage wooden boxes and oil can tops, I thought it was so cool.

Another cool display idea by the Hand of Fatima Design — using old books as earring stands:

oh hi!

These jewelries by Cursive Design are so great, caught my eye for sure.

and I loved these handmade illustrated prints by Virginia Kraljevic!

Great chalk board and hand written price board:

and last but not least, loved the usage of woods throughout their work and displays via Timber!

I didn’t take photos of ALL the things I saw, but there were many many more… Cheers to all the artists!! I’m glad I made it even in the crazy weather and be able to support handmade!!
