New Letterpress Prints

I went to The Arm letterpress studio over the weekend to print some more cards and prints… the studio was really cool! I ended up spending 4 hours there, gosh, it’s so much fun I could do that all day long!

Picture is from their website — the dog is Henry, he was such a good boy, I enjoyed printing with his presence.

I had a few requests on colors so I printed “Live What You Love” print (3rd edition!) in 5 colors and now they are all available at my etsy shop!

Which color do you like??

Today is a big back to work day for a lot of people, I am actually working from home this week, it’s nice! The letterpress cards I printed will follow later. I hope this will inspire you this morning…

Costomizeable Letterpress Card

As you saw in my previous post, this is the card I was printing… “Costomizeable Letterpress Card“! You can use this card for almost any occasions, just fill in the top part with your message and specify the special day that you are sending the card for. You can use this for New Years, Valentine’s Day (circle Feb 14th in heart!), Anniversary, Save the date is a good one, party invitations, remider of the important date, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day……you name it, it is very versatile!

A6 folded card:

A6 Flat note card:

Here are some example…

“What a special day…” and when you open the card, it says “Because it is your birthday! Happy Birthday!”

Save the date card is a very good usage.

I’m planning to print with different color with different shape of the frame, too. Oh, and it is printed in 100% cotton paper and it comes with matching 100% cotton envelopes, too, so it is eco-friendly indeed.

Available at my shop now!

Letterpress Class 10

It was my last letterpress class and even though I felt a little sad that it was over, I am so happy that I feel comfortable using Vandercook Press and printing letterpress prints and cards now and I will keep printing for sure! Thank you so much for reading my class journey, I will keep posting about letterpress every time I have something to share so please look forward to what I will be doing next!

I had another card idea and when I made my plate, I included this idea, too, so I was able to finally print the card…

Mixing light gray by using the Pantone chip chart.

hmm, maybe more white?

The first plate is set. The Vandercook Press needed to be adjusted a lot this time… there are a few places that you have to go into and adjust to set it for proper printing – I could do it all by myself! So proud. (smile)

and just print away…

Mixing second color – I love mixing colors! It’s fun!

and print second color away…

I will share about what I actually printed in the next post – yes, it’ll be available in my shop soon!

Letterpress Class 9

Last week, I finally printed my business cards that was one of my main projects to do in this class and I am so excited that it came out so great!

I brought a few printouts of the business card so I can use it as a template. I’m doing 2 colors here so I’m going to start with the red.

Put double-sided tape on the polymer plate and…

place it on top of the printout to match exactly where it is.

Take the printout with the plate and run the press….

and the plate sticks exactly where you want to print! I love this trick!!

Printed on bunch of yes, chipboard. Run it twice top and bottom so I can have 8 cards on one sheet in 8.5×11.

OK, the second color, black next. Using double-sided tape, place the plate on the printout exactly where it should be.

and run the press to place the plate.

and print on the first sheet… here it is! I printed about 320 cards!

I trimmed them and here are the final result. I have 3 versions… I couldn’t decide which ones yet… but I love them so much – the impression is again so wonderful.

What do you think?!
