I got a newsletter from the Center for Book Arts the other day and inside, there was this image — the title “History of Art” all made with origami — made me look!

Valentine’s Day Card

I didn’t know until Mili started going to school, but Valentine’s Day is a pretty big craft day for the kids world, everyone makes something for everyone in the classroom on Valentine’s Day. This year, she made bunch of origami hearts placed on a card. Pretty simple, but came out so cute and she did everything all by herself.

((Teachers get 2 hearts <3<3))

Happy Valentine’s Day!

It’s March 3rd and it’s Hinamatsuri (Doll’s Festival) day! Mili and I made a couple sets of hina dolls this year so just wanted to share :) Even though I did put these together mostly, Mili participated with crayons and she had fun! All these scrabbles you see, it’s her work :)

It’s fairly easy to make, great crafts with kids.

Origami Origami

When I visited Kinokuniya book store last Friday, I saw so many great stationery and paper goods besides Japanese books. And I had to get this “Origami” (in Japanese below, it says “Origami Origami”) — isn’t this so cute?!

Comes with a lot of everyday-use origami instructions like these:

and it comes with so many cute and fun patterns, I wanted to get more, but the ones I liked were all gone… but this polka-dots & bunny stickers sure came home with me :)

Hope you had a nice weekend… let the new week begin!
