Alison wanted a custom piece for above her fireplace and the phrase she choose? “All You Need Is Love” :)
1st color, light grey printed — missing O here…
Add back the letter O and put scond color, light pink…
and print!
I love how it came out! Great wood type texture and perfect imperfection — gets me every time!

With Valentine’s Day coming right soon, the love is definitely in the air everywhere! and I LOVE it :)

I love overlapping effects that letterpress can do so I wanted to try that — first, setting up letter O and E:
Adjusting the placement… with consideration about the letter L and V later…
and print the letter O and E.
Now, setting the letter L and V to overlap the letter O and E:
Test print without the ink + adjusting the placement…

aww I love the shapes and colors that they make each other!
Still adjusting the spacing until I am happy…

I had been wanted to print it in seaform green (one of my favorite colors!) and finally did! :)

and I wanted to try some new shade of blue… I didn’t know what to call this blue so I named it “Sweet Blue” — it’s in between baby blue and light steel blue. It’s quite sweet as you can see :)

Along with these familiar colors, too. Oh, these are all printed on 100% cotton Lettra Fluorescent White paper (I’ve been printing on Pearl White) so the colors are more vivid and sharp, I think.
