Etsy Love

Last night, my print was featured on Etsy homepage! I enjoy their hand-picked items everyday, it’s always done by theme or by color, featuring all the great hand-made goods and so this was really an awesome thing to see!! Thank you so much!!

Vintage Greyhound Bus Sign

I came accorss this vintage Greyhound Bus Sign from Boston, Buffalo, Burlington… – so awesome! Love the type and white letters on black, I would buy this right now except it’s already sold out, of course.

I have been a fan of Sarah Gardner‘s hand-lettering work, it’s so great. Her Flickr photostream is filled with great hand-lettering work, it is so inspiring to browse through them all and they really make me want to try some hand-lettering!

Letterpress Studio

I’ve mentioned that I am renting a letterpress studio starting this month… it has been awesome! I am sharing this space with other talented people and this is the Vandercook Press I’m using.

Ben, who I share this press with, uses soy-based ink and it is 100% non-toxic space, I love it so much! Do you see a vegetable oil under the press? We clean the press with the oil.

The space is big, there are 2 Vandercook Presses and 1 C&P Press. This is our area:

A guillotine cutter. This thing cuts papers like crazy! Very dangerous if you don’t know how to use it. The blade is so sharp that you don’t even feel it when your fingers get cut – always gives me goosebumps by just thinking about it!! I am VERY careful around this guy… :)
