Here Hook

I had to get this one. It’s from Rare Device on 7th Avenue – only one block away from my apartment. I heard that they opened a store in San Francisco, too. They have lots of cool and fun stuff.

Union Market

A supermarket opened a few blocks away from our apartment called “Union Market” and I like it there so much that I go there everyday almost. Before it opened, I couldn’t help but notice their nice logo. I knew this supermarket would be a nice one! I guess it’s only in Park Slope, Brooklyn… It’s the second one!

(I wish they were a bit cheaper, though…)

It looks small in the map, but Park Slope is HUGE! Especially, coming from Hayes Valley in SF, it feels like a giant area. From the star to the star in the map, there are 20+ blocks. (The map shows more than just Park Slope, though)

1080 Recipes

After eating out all the time for like 2-3 weeks straight, I wanted to cook something and eat at home so badly. Now that my kitchen is almost all set, I’ve been enjoying cooking. Today, I found a link to this Spanish cooking book called “1080 Recipes” and I just love the website design and the illustration of the book so much that I want to buy one. I can cook Spanish food and enjoy the design at the same time! You can download some sample recipes from the website, too.

The designer, Javier Mariscal’s Estudio Mariscal website and their work is soo very impressive, too!

LAMA logo design

I just finished my first logo design of the year for LAMA : Latin America in the Modern Age. I’m also going to design the business card, the letterhead and the e-commerce website as well, which is all very exciting! Christine, the owner of LAMA has been so great to work with and I had so much fun coming up with design ideas and exploring lots of different shapes, colors, and we both agreed this is it. (just black and white version here, we decided to do one color depending on the background)

Logo is very important for a company — it speaks out its brand and communicates with people in tiny format! I’m so happy with this LAMA logo and so is Christine… that’s one of the most important parts of my job, too, to make client happy! I can’t wait to see how everything will come together.
