Hej!

Some people call me “Hiji” “Heej” – especially, everyone at my old work called me “Heej” everyday for the 6 years I was in the office (they of course still do!) and so when I saw this sign BIG on the wall when I was at IKEA in Brooklyn last weekend, I thought it was me!

but apparently, it is in Swedish and it means “Hello”!

It caught my eye for sure and I learned one Swedish word that looks like my nickname!

Love the big bold typography on white wall, too.

Happy Inauguration Day, America, what a historical day!!! Obama’s speech again moved so many people and I couldn’t watch it without tears! :::::

Type Tree

Over the weekend, I worked on our family tree with… letters! It came out so nice and cute, just what I thought it would be. I had this idea for a while and I was finally motivated to do so!

The right side is Randy’s family and the left side is my family – I didn’t follow any branch, just randomly placed our family’s initials and they are in our bedroom.

Today is a holiday in US, it is Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, hope everyone is enjoying a little long weekend!

Swarm

Spotted at Anthropologie in Rockefeller Center.

It’s made out of push pins!

It’s swarming – very nicely done!

In this room, there were lots of cool hand made chairs – they were swarming, too.

There are always so many inspirations at Anthropologie, it is like walking into a gallery. The window display to inside store display, you will find lots of creativities, it’s awesome. And you can shop, too, of course. (smile)
